MVS Label Project

Step One - The Power Board

This is the first step in building a MVS cab from scratch. (well, almost) As with any of the projects on this site that invlove electricity, be careful. We will be dealing with 120 Volt electricity which is more than enough to totally ruin your day.

And again, I take no responsibility for damage to person or property by you following these directions. If you are not comfortable with electronics, don't attempt to try this.

You will need:

A multimeter

A crimping tool. These things are really handy. I use mine all the time.
A Switching Power Supply. Available from Bob Roberts.
You will also need a board to mount all the components to. I used a 12" x 12" x 3/4" piece of plywood.
The following items can all be purchased in a AC starter wiring kit from Bob Roberts. This is absolutely the best way to get what you need. The direct link to the kit is here.
18 Gauge Wire Pack
Misc. Connectors
AC Line Filter
AC Fuse & Holder
AC Distroibution Block
Isolation Transformer
AC Line Cord
AC On/Off Switch
Misc. Cable Clamps

Let's build it!
